Snowtown director, Justin Kurzel, bowled over critics and audiences alike when his
visually arresting and unrelenting first feature film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
His bold cinematic vision and voice emphatically positioned him as one of the most skilful
and brave new talents on the local and international cinema circuit.
Currently based in London, where he is set to direct the Film 4 feature; Our Kind of
Traitor – based on an espionage novel by John le Carre – we have the filmmaker back for
a brief return.
Justin will candidly discuss his process; the fundamentals of working with actors and the fascinating journey from first time director to subsequent creative turns -the offers; the agents and the lessons learnt.
