Friday May 25: Adam Zwar: The lowdown on Wilfred, Dating & Divorce…
He’s the man who persuaded the Agony Aunts and Agony Uncles to reveal all. Now it’s his turn.
Adam Zwar, the multitalented writer, actor, producer and voice artist is on a winning streak. He is best known
for co-creating and staring in the Australian comedy series Wilfred followed by Lowdown, for which he has
won awards not only for his skilful performances but also his exceptional comedic writing talent. And despite
the common belief that Australian comedy rarely travels – Wilfred and Lowdown have been picked up
internationally. Wilfred was bought and successfully remade by US Cable network FX and while the second
series of Lowdown is in production, the first is attracting rave reviews and playing to an appreciative UK
audience on BBC Four.
But most recently, Adam has entertained us endlessly, some might say more than should be humanly
expected and possibly allowed, with the ABC documentary series Agony Uncles and Agony Aunts. This is
your chance to find out Adams secrets to comedic success and how on earth he persuaded so many to talk so
candidly about dating and divorce.
